When you use your credit card for an online purchase, Private MD Labs will send your card number and purchase amount to the issuing bank for an approval or an "authorization." 

This authorization generally confirms that an account is open and the purchase amount is acceptable. The purchase amount sent for authorization is the exact amount of the order total.

Once the purchase amount is authorized and all other information entered matches your credit card information, the transaction completes and the actual purchase amount will be deducted from your account.

If the authorization is declined for any reason, invalid account number, security code incorrect, funds not available, etc) it will not be matched with an actual purchase and normally within 3 business days (depending on the regulations of the issuing bank), the authorization will be removed from your account and the funds made available to you again.
